WSR Sunrise w/ Dubsie and Bear Bear — A Little Slice of Heaven
There are mornings at Wolf Skull Ranch when the sunrise makes you stop whatever you're doing and simply look.
Inspired by an actual photograph taken here at the ranch, this design captures White Widow—better known as Dubsie—and Strawberry Cough, our Bear Bear, beneath a brilliant Southern Colorado sunrise. Two horses, a wide-open ranch, and a sky putting on a show before the day has even begun.
Dubsie holds a particularly special place in the Wolf Skull Ranch story. The gray Arabian mare is where the nickname “Dubs” came from, making her a little piece of the ranch's history as well as one of its much-loved residents.
The original photograph has been transformed into a hand-painted interpretation while preserving the horses, landscape, and extraordinary sunrise that made the original special.
