Snowmakers — We Run the Guns
THE MOUNTAIN CREW SERIES
Skiing doesn’t happen by itself.
Long before the first chair loads, snowmakers have been working through the night to build the mountain. Groomers turn that snow into the corduroy we can’t wait to carve the next morning. Lifties get us up the hill, Ski Patrol watches over us while we’re on it, and the maintenance crew keeps the machinery, lifts, equipment, and countless moving parts of a ski area running when something inevitably breaks.
Most of their work happens while the rest of us are thinking about the next run.
The WSR Tees Mountain Crew Series was created to recognize the men and women behind the mountain—the people whose work makes our ski days possible.
So the next time you’re on the hill and you see one of these folks doing their job, take a second and tell them thank you.
Same mountain. Different jobs. One crew.
SNOWMAKERS — WE RUN THE GUNS
While everybody else is dreaming about fresh snow, these folks are out there making it.
Cold nights, roaring fan guns, freezing mist, long shifts, and enough ice stuck to your clothes to make you wonder why anybody voluntarily does this for a living. Snowmakers work through the night to give the rest of us something worth waking up early for.
They run the guns so you can have fun.
