A Very Geiger Sunset — A Little Slice of Heaven
Some sunsets are beautiful because of the sky. Others are beautiful because of who was there to share them with you.
Inspired by an actual photograph taken at Wolf Skull Ranch, this design captures Geiger relaxing beneath one of those spectacular Southern Colorado sunsets, with the mountains stretching across the horizon behind him. At roughly 155 pounds, Geiger was a very big dog with an even bigger presence—and somehow the enormous Colorado landscape suited him perfectly.
Geiger left us in July 2026, but photographs like this preserve the quiet, ordinary moments that become especially precious after they're gone. He was larger than life, and this is exactly how we like to remember him: at home on the ranch, beneath a beautiful Colorado sky.
The original photograph has been transformed into a hand-painted interpretation while preserving Geiger, the landscape, and the sunset that made the original special.
